Flamenco
This trio of Flamenco dancers was photographed along a track in the Queen’s Lake State Forest , just south of Port Macquarie , NSW, Australia on a grey, cold, wet day in early spring.
Not as delicate as they look, this species of Polypore Wood Rotting Fungus, (Polyporus arcularius) , are as tough as old boots and feel rough to the touch.
They occur mainly on fallen logs and branches which have been burnt by fire and the fruiting bodies grow in colonies as you can see here.
