Black Water Moorings
THE SUBJECT:
Moored yachts at rest on a spring tide, caught in the light of street lights and the moon.
THE LOCATION:
Photographed from a jetty on the Hastings River in Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia at 9:47pm on the first night of spring.
THE MAKING OF ‘Black Water Moorings’:
It was a wonderful still night as I headed home after a camera club meeting so I decided to drive to this spot to check out the moorings.
Fortunately the spring tide had ebbed so there was just the slightest movement on the river.
