One Wet Mothers Day #2
THE SUBJECT:
Mothers Day 2009 – Absolutely bucketing down as this rain soaked duo scamper across the road for shelter.
[I have been told that this photograph is very reminiscent of old time classic photography in the days when there was much less emphasis on sharpness.]
THE LOCATION:
A candid shot from my seat at the new Créma Espresso Bar in the CBD of Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia.
THE MAKING of ‘One Wet Mothers Day #2’:
An experiment with a slowish shutterspeed and a slow pan has created a result that pleases me.
There is movement in the people and the slashing rain yet the girl’s right leg has been caught so clearly and makes a good focal point.
Fuji S9600: RAW, 1/80sec @ f/4.9, Auto focus, ISO80, Hand held.
Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3.
